The Missouri Housing Development Commission is offering up to $14,999 for buyers who purchase foreclosed/distressed homes. The monies can be used toward down payment and closing costs. First-time home buyers can still qualify for the $8000 tax credit under this program. But there are income restrictions - and the house must be used as the principal residence, not as investment property.
